THE UNTOLD LEGEND
OF THE CROOKED ELM
During a waxing moon some 100yrs ago, our fabled Elm played host to a wandering musician who had stopped to rest under its canopy. As he rested the traveller sang a soulful melody and awoke a deep magic within the tree. The Elm was infused with an enormous sense of wellbeing and kinship. Since that day it is believed that to touch the trunk of the tree during a waxing moon would bestow on that person the same sense of wellbeing. This spirit lives on through us, representing the heart and soul of the community, so enjoy the warmth and fun that is the CROOKED ELM.
